  There are many factors that affect the quality of LED display, among which the packaging of LED display has a very important impact. In addition to advanced and reliable technology, the key of packaging technology is that packaging chip materials, packaging materials and process control have a direct relationship. With the rapid development of media industry, advertising industry, trade show industry, wedding industry and other industries, the requirements for LED components become higher and higher as the quality of display screen increases.

  LED display

  The materials used for LED packaging mainly include chips, solid crystal adhesives, brackets, packaging adhesives, bonding wires, etc.

  1、 Chip

  As the core of LED devices, LED chips determine the life and luminous performance of the entire LED display screen. With the reduction of the cost of LED chips, the size of LED chips is becoming smaller and smaller, which also brings a series of performance problems.

  2、 Glue

  There are mainly two types of internal packaging glue: organic silicon and epoxy resin.

  (1) Organic silicon. Organic silicon phase has high performance price ratio, excellent insulation, dielectric property and adhesiveness. Its disadvantages are easy to absorb moisture and weak air tightness. It is rarely used in the packaging application of LED devices.

  (2) Epoxy resin. Epoxy resin is easy to be aged, has poor heat resistance, is easy to be wet, and is easy to change color under short wave light and high temperature. Epoxy resin has a certain toxicity, and LED thermal stress matching is not high, which greatly affects LED performance and life.

  3、 LED bracket

  (1) The structure of the support is improved. As the combination of PPA and metal is physical, the gap of PLCC support will become larger after the high temperature reflow furnace, so that water vapor can easily enter the device along the metal channel and affect the reliability.

  (2) The role of the support. PLCC (Plastic Led Chip Carrier) bracket is the carrier of SMD LED devices and plays a key role in LED reliability, light output and other performance.

  (3) Production process of support. The production process of PLCC support mainly includes metal strip punching, electroplating, PPA (polyphthalamide) injection molding, bending, five side three-dimensional inkjet and other processes. Among them, electroplating, metal substrate and plastic materials account for the main cost of the bracket.
