In the parameters of splicing screens, contrast is a very important parameter. So what is the conventional splicing screen contrast? Different manufacturers provide splicing screens with contrast ratios of 3500:1, 4000:1, 1200:1, and 1500:1. It can be observed that there is a significant difference in contrast, ranging from high to low. So, is it better to have high or low contrast for splicing screens?
1、 What does contrast mean
The so-called splicing screen contrast refers to the measurement of different brightness levels between the brightest white and darkest black areas in the image displayed by the screen monitor, that is, the contrast between light and dark. The larger the difference range, the greater the contrast, and the smaller the difference range, the smaller the contrast.
2、 Several mainstream market contrasts
At present, the contrast ratio of splicing screens sold in the market is generally 4000:1:4500:1 and 50001, which is relatively high in the industry and has been tested by CNAS testing reports.
3、 Is high contrast better or low contrast better
Firstly, we can confirm that the higher the contrast of the LCD splicing screen, the better, because the higher the contrast, the stronger the contrast between light and dark in the image, and the brighter the colors. The impact of contrast on visual effects is crucial. Generally speaking, the higher the contrast, the clearer and more eye-catching the image, and the more vivid and vibrant the colors.
For example, the contrast of DLP is only 1200:1 or 1500:1, which is much smaller than the contrast of LCD splicing screens. Therefore, we found that when the same image is displayed on the DLP screen, the image is not as bright, but when displayed on the splicing screen, the entire image is very bright and the colors are more vivid, which is the influence of contrast.
If the contrast is small, it will make the entire picture dull. High contrast is very helpful for the clarity, detail representation, and grayscale level representation of dry images.
