1. Grayscale level
The grayscale level refers to the brightness level that can be distinguished from the darkest to the brightest in a single primary color of an LED display screen. The higher the grayscale level of an LED display screen, the richer the colors, and the brighter the colors; On the contrary, the display color is single and the changes are simple. The increase in grayscale level can greatly enhance color depth, resulting in an increase in the geometric number of display levels of image colors. 2. Improvement of contrast
Contrast is one of the key factors affecting visual effects. Generally speaking, the higher the contrast, the clearer and more eye-catching the image, and the brighter and more vibrant the colors. High contrast is very helpful for image clarity, detail representation, and grayscale level representation. In some text and video displays with large black and white contrast, high contrast LED displays have advantages in black and white contrast, clarity, integrity, and other aspects. Contrast has a greater impact on the display effect of dynamic videos. Due to the faster light to dark conversion in dynamic images, the higher the contrast, the easier it is for the human eye to distinguish such conversion processes.
There are two main methods to improve the contrast of display screens:
(1) Improving the brightness of LED display screens
The brightness of LED display screens is not necessarily better in certain situations. For example, if the brightness of an indoor LED display screen is too high, it can cause light pollution and damage the observer's vision.
(2) Reduce the surface reflectivity of LED displays
Mainly, special processing is carried out on LED panels and LED light emitting tubes to reduce the reflectivity of LED panels and improve the contrast of LED display screens.
