  The near crystalline liquid crystal molecules are rod-shaped and arranged in layers, with variable distances between each layer. But molecules do not come and go between layers and can only move within their own layer. This type of liquid crystal is similar in order to crystals, hence it is called a near crystalline form.

  Its structure is formed by the aggregation of liquid crystal rod-shaped molecules, forming a layer by layer structure. The long axes of the molecules in each layer are parallel to each other, and the direction of this long axis is perpendicular or has a tilt angle to the plane of each layer.

  Rod-shaped molecules rely on the interactions provided by functional groups perpendicular to the long axis of the molecule, arranged in parallel to each other into a layered structure, with the long axis of the molecule perpendicular to the layer. Molecules can move within layers and cannot travel between them.

  Its structure is very similar to that of a crystal.
