  1、 Raw materials

  The first is the difference between lamp beads. The lamp beads used for the in-line LED display screen are mainly irregular long round lamp beads. The main models are f3/f5/346 and other models. The packaging process is mature, the waterproof performance is good, and the luminous surface is full luminous surface.

  The surface mounted LED lamp beads are mainly in the shape of cube or cuboid. The packaging process is to fill the chip into a metal bracket and then fill it with glue to dry it. The specifications are 3535/3528/2835/2727 (2525)/2121/1921/1515/1010 and many other types. The packaging process is mature, and the light-emitting surface is single front emitting.

  The second is the difference between PCB. The PCB circuit board used for the surface mounted LED display screen is the pad surface, which is used to weld the lamp foot of the surface mounted LED lamp bead. The PCB used for the in-line LED module is empty at the relevant pad position, so that the in-line LED lamp beads can be inserted and welded.

  2、 Process

  In terms of production process, The production process of in-line LED display module is as follows: printing solder paste on the IC surface on the PCB → pasting IC on the surface → reflow soldering for temperature rise welding → inserting in-line LED lamp beads into the corresponding PCB hole → tin spraying → reflow soldering for temperature rise welding of the lamp surface → power supply base and simplified post soldering processing → testing aging maintenance → spraying three proofing paint and sealant on outdoor LED modules (this step can be omitted for indoor LED modules) → Put on the lock screws of the bottom cover → test for aging → pack and ship.

  The production process of surface mounted LED display module is as follows: printing IC surface solder paste on PCB → surface mounted IC (including beef and power base) → reflow soldering for heating welding → printing light surface solder paste on PCB → surface mounted LED lamp beads → reflow soldering for heating welding of light surface → testing, aging and maintenance → spraying three proofing paint and glue filling on outdoor LED modules (this step can be omitted for indoor LED modules) → Put on the lock screws of the bottom cover → test for aging → pack and ship.

  Technically, the production process of surface mounted LED display module should be simpler.

  3、 Application

  Due to the limitation of its structure, in-line LED lamp beads are mainly used for P10, P16, P20 and other spacing, P8 is smaller, and P6 is the minimum spacing. Because of its good waterproof performance, it is mainly used for outdoor products.

  Because of its regular structure, metal supports can be adjusted, and its types are diverse. Surface mounted LED modules can be used in all kinds of space applications, from outdoor P13.33/P10/P8/P6/P5/P4/P3/P2.5 to indoor P10/P7.62/P6/P5/P4.75/P4/P3/P2.5/P2/P1.875/P1.667/P1.56/P1.25/P1.0.
