The "General Specification for Digital TV LCD Displays", which will be implemented from January 1, 2007, clearly stipulates that LCD TVs must have a standard of light leakage of ≤ 4cd/㎡ in full black screen conditions.
We usually measure the technical parameters of a TV through three basic TV colors: red, green, and blue. General LCD displays may experience slight light leakage during assembly, so there is no need to pay too much attention. Monitors such as EIZO and NEC are less prone to light leakage, mainly due to the use of the highest quality panels during panel procurement, careful assembly, and excellent display design. Therefore, high-end displays rarely experience significant light leakage.
If you buy a low-end monitor, there is no need to inquire about the issue of light leakage, as even if you have one, no one will return or exchange it unless the problem is serious. But if you are buying a high-end monitor, it is important to ask about the issue of light leakage, as you have spent a lot of money and deserve excellent service. If the leakage is too obvious, black adhesive tape can be used to stick along the edge of the leakage.
